Twitter: Intrigued By Twitter -- Are You on Twitter? Twitter With Me & Catch My Tweets Here & On Twitter

I'm becoming quite intrigued by Twitter, the microblogging service dedicated to helping you stay connected with your friends, loved ones and co–workers by exhanging quick comments (less than 140 characters), where you answer the simple question: "What are you doing?"

Although I first signed up with Twitter a year ago, I sent out only one tweet during that entire time! But in the last few days, I began experimenting with it. Actually, I got interested in it because of a post someone made in an online, health journalism group to which I belong. That got me more curious about Twitter.

But, here's my Twitter take. I hope to encourage people to take Twitter to a new level.

Here's my approach: I will NOT bore you with silly stuff. I will NOT tweet frequently. I will NOT waste your time with stupid messages. Instead, I plan to post judiciously. Before I tweet, I will THINK.

What's more, you will NOT get any inane posts from me about my being stuck in traffic, what I'm wearing, what I had for breakfast, how I'm watching a TV show, etc.

You'll get ABSOLUTELY NO trivial Twitter chatter from me!

Instead, I plan to use Twitter in an uplifting, inspiring, educational way. For instance, when I tweet, I will (I hope):

  • Inspire you.
  • Provoke you with some intriguing questions.
  • Give you links to interesting articles and blog posts (mine and other people's).
  • Send you to links of cool Internet radio shows. (See one of my recent tweets, where I invite you to check out a cool, new radio show, Twitcast Radio: Online Social Media Marketing Show, from speaker/author, blogger and social media expert Warren Whitlock. He's even working on a Twitter Handbook, for which he invites your participation.)

Anyhow, look for my Twitter posts. Hope you like them. Please tell me if you do. If you have ideas on how to take Twitter to a new level, send them to me, too.

See the left side of this blog for recent entries. Become one of my followers.

And please, if you use Twitter, help me to make it useful, not trivial.

Oh, please forgive my earlier entries in which I complained about my Lyme disease headaches. You won't get any more of that woe-is-me tweets from me anymore. Sorry!
