« Dr. Barbara DeAngelis: Bestselling Author Interviewed on Thursday on Stop SUGAR SHOCK! Radio | Main | Diet With a Co-Worker & Kick Sugar With A Buddy -- Or Inspire Others to Get More Sleep! »

Sugar-Free But Still Sick? Reader Wants to Know Why

Diane on my mailing list had a good question for me after I announced yesterday that I'm sick and have rescheduled the Dr. Barbara DeAngelis interview on Stop SUGAR SHOCK! Radio for Thursday at 2 pm EST.

She wanted to know, "How can you be sick if you eat no sugar?"

Although she added that she was "just kidding," her question was a good one!

How can I get sick if I'm allegedly so healthy and into good habits?

Well, I confess, was naughty in the past week or two. I was sleep deprived!

Then, I left New York and headed out to California for TV interviews in Los Angeles, San Francisco and San Diego and Thanksgiving with my family.

Then I woke up early a bunch of times for TV interviews and I just pushed my body too much. So I got sick.

The Wednesday before Thanksgiving, I completely collapsed. I slept about 20 hours out of a 24-hour period.

So, yes, even though I don't eat sugar, I do get sick when I over-extend myself.

Moral: Get more sleep, Connie! Quit pushing yourself so hard! Set some limits and say no at times. (I'm coaching myself here. LOL!)

Back to much-needed resting.
